Innovative Therapies for Peripheral Neuropathies: The Present & The Future
The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy is committed to fostering collaboration among today’s most gifted and dedicated neuroscientists and physicians, in an effort to develop new and effective therapies that can reverse, reduce and one day eliminate peripheral neuropathy. We are pleased to announce our 2012 Research Symposium entitled Innovative Therapies for Peripheral Neuropathies: The Present and the Future. This symposium will be held at the JW Marriott in downtown Chicago, Illinois, from Wednesday, March 14 - Friday, March 16, 2012.
Symposium Description
The 2012 Symposium on peripheral neuropathies will bring together investigators and clinicians from both basic and clinical research to discuss challenges in peripheral neuropathy research and outline future direction for innovative therapies. There will be three distinct sessions on i) mechanisms of axonal degeneration and novel areas of research on axonal regeneration; ii) strengths and weaknesses of current animal models and relevance to clinical trials; and iii) challenges in clinical trial design and symptomatic management of peripheral neuropathies.
One of the key outcomes of the symposium will be to develop a statement paper from each session to outline the current state-of-the-art research and future directions on innovative therapies for peripheral neuropathies.
This event is by invitation only.
