Jewelry designer Orlanda Olsen has selected a beautiful pendant, of her own design, called, “Uncaged Healing Stone,” especially for the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy. This lovely, hand cut Rock Crystal briolette (a stone known for its healing qualities) is capped with 18k gold twisted wire – “reminiscent of frayed nerves,” and is suspended from a 14K yellow gold, 24 inch, textured link chain, specifically selected to compliment the piece.
Orlanda has pledged that 10% of all proceeds from the sale of this special piece will be donated to the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy.
Orlanda has suffered from peripheral neuropathy since 2005 due to antibiotics (fluoroquinolones). “So many people are suffering from peripheral neuropathy; myself and so many of my friends. I want to do something to help ease the pain.”
Orlanda Olsen’s love of jewelry began as a child when she started crafting bracelets of twisted wire for her Mother. Later in life she went on to become a fashion and television model, but never gave up her love of designing jewelry.
Orlanda understands that, like any work of art, her jewelry should evoke an emotional response. She believes that beauty and style are a result of flowing proportions. She has taken this knowledge and integrated it into her highly defined and focused works of jewelry.
The price of the “Uncaged Healing Stone” is $2900 (price set by artist), but the pendant may be purchased on its own (no chain) for $1500
The pendant and chain are available exclusively from two locations, but can be ordered by phone:

WHILE THE STORES SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE DONATION, PLEASE MENTION THE FOUNDATION FOR PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY WHEN MAKING YOUR PURCHASE
Thank you for allowing me to comment about the “Uncaged Healing Stone” necklace which is being sold, with 10% of the proceeds going to the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy. I believe the cost of $2900.00 for this necklace is exorbitant. I have a necklace which is similar, designed by a nationally known designer which cost me around $350.00. I would like to support the Foundation with a purchase or two but not by buying a $350.00 necklace for $2900.00. Perhaps the Foundation can come up with other less expensive items it can sell. You can make 50%-75% profit with the sell of t-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, vests, tote bags, etc… Each of those can be sold for approximately $20.00. Your profit could be anything from $10.00-$15.00 per item. If you do not want to get involved with storing a lot of different items, then purchase some moderately priced necklaces with crystals and sell them yourself for a reasonable price. In any case, if the Foundation wants to bring money in through purchases of products, I believe that ultimately they will generate more money by utilizing items which sell for less than $2900.00. I believe most people with medical problems (peripheral neuropathy) spend most of their discretionary money on medical expenses. They cannot afford to purchase $2900.00 necklaces. Thank you for your attention. Judy Kerr
Thank you for your feedback on the Uncaged Healing Stone pendant. The price and donation amount were completely set by the artist who is also responsible for selling the item – FPN is not selling them directly. Ms. Olsen created the piece with us in mind and made the decision to donate a portion of HER proceeds as a her personal way of giving to the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy. We were simply publicizing her offer in order to maximize the gift she was making.
