Capsaicin Patch Eases HIV Neuropathy Pain

In a report presented at the American Academy of Pain Medicine, Dr. Stephen J. Brown, states that difficult to treat HIV-associated neuropathic pain appears to be eased for at least three months with a one-time, 30-minute application of an 8% capsaicin patch. Brown said, “More than half of people with HIV-infection develop neuropathy, and about 30-40% of them have painful neuropathy.” READ MORE
