Don’t Forget About Your Feet This Summer!
Beach walking is one of the great joys of summer – and great exercise – but be sure to take extra care of your feet. Here are some tips on proper foot care:

- Wearing shoes or some type of foot covering will help with the uneven surface, as well as protect your skin from sunburn, burns from hot pavement or sand, and sharp objects.
- Inspect your feet regularly for cuts and sores, as contact with viruses or bacteria can lead to fungal infections or other foot problems.
- If needed, moisturize your feet, but it’s recommended to not apply lotion between your toes.
- If swelling in your feet occurs, wear support stockings and elevate your feet. This will help to prevent impaired circulation and nerve function.
