Lyme Disease Surge Predicted for Northwestern US

Dr. Richard Ostfeld, a disease ecologist at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, NY,  says the northeastern US should prepare for a surge in Lyme disease this year. May through July will be particularly dangerous according to Dr. Ostfeld. Lyme disease carries significant side effects, including peripheral neuropathy and other neurological conditions. READ MORE
