Mike McDonough’s Story: Pedal Through the Pain Update!

On September 9 2020, the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy (FPN) published the story of Mike McDonough. Mike set a goal for himself to ride 341 miles from Kaysville to St. George, Utah, to raise money and awareness for peripheral neuropathy. The money raised would go to purchasing eBikes for donation, with the remainder of the funds donated to FPN.

Mike completed his race in six days, raised over $12,000 and is giving away three eBikes! We are so appreciative that a portion of the money raised will come to FPN as a donation. We are also so appreciative of the awareness Mike raised for peripheral neuropathy, and the others he will help with his gift of an eBike!

On his final day, Mike posted on his Facebook page:

We hit the finish line today. We had over 12,000 feet of climb. One day our average speed was 18+ and our max was 42+ mph. Our most consistent day we road 89 miles and averaged 21.7 and max at 29+ mph. Only 1049’ of climb that day. The welcome home was so fun to have people clapping down our neighborhood before we got to our street.

We commend Mike on his accomplishment. He truly is a warrior!

If you know someone who would like to be considered for one of Mike’s eBikes, contact him at [email protected] before October 30, 2020.
