2027 Next generation training grant in PN
The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy (FPN) is pleased to announce the 2027-2029 cycle of our early career Clinical Research Training Scholarship in Peripheral Neuropathy (CRTS in PN), offered through the American Brain Foundation (ABF). Since 2023, we have funded $900,000 in these next generation training grants.
The goal of this funding mechanism is to support promising early career investigators (MD or PhD) who are likely to continue their careers in peripheral neuropathy research. These grants are intended for any basic, translational, or clinical research project on peripheral neuropathy, aimed at understanding of disease mechanisms, diagnosis, or treatments.
Fundable areas of research include:
- Epidemiological or behavioral studies
- Clinical trials or clinical research studies
- Studies of disease mechanisms
- Development of new technologies
- Health services and outcomes research
Disease-related studies not directly involving humans or human tissue (including animal models) are also encouraged if the primary goal is translational, in support of the development of therapies, diagnostic tests, or other tools to prevent or mitigate neuropathy.
