Celebrating 18 Years on FPN Day
On October 15, 2025, the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy (FPN) proudly celebrated its 18th anniversary – FPN Day. It was a moment to reflect on the amazing progress we’ve made and to thank the people who make our work possible—our supporters, researchers, and patients.
Our goal was to raise $18,000 for our 18th anniversary — and we’ve surpassed that number, raising a preliminary total of $19,758.60!
Hearing directly from our leadership
On FPN Day, our new Board President, Ron Lissak, shared exciting news about the Foundation’s growth. Thanks to your support, we’ve seen more companies join our mission and have received generous donations from individuals who believe in what we do. This support helps us do even more for people living with peripheral neuropathy.
Kristy Townsend, PhD, our new Board Vice President and scientist at The Ohio State University, talked about how the Foundation is helping to move research forward. Peripheral neuropathy affects millions of people in many different ways—through aging, diabetes, cancer treatments, and more. Kristy said the Foundation plays a key role by supporting research, education, and advocacy that brings real hope to patients and families.
Longtime board member and former Board President, Lou Mazawey reminded us how the Foundation speaks up for 30 million Americans affected by this condition. We work with top research centers, the National Institutes of Health, and even Congress to make sure your voices are heard.
Together, we’ve built a strong and caring community. As we look ahead, we’re excited to keep growing and making a difference.
Thank you for celebrating another FPN Day with us—and for being part of our journey these last 18 years.
