Save the Date for 2024 PN Awareness Week

What is PN Awareness Week?

Peripheral Neuropathy (PN) Awareness Week is an annual event that takes place during the first full week of May — this year, from May 5 to May 11, 2024. The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy is gearing up for a powerful campaign to raise awareness and funds — $100,000 in the month of May — for this debilitating condition. Please join us to educate, advocate, and make a difference.

Why Does PN Awareness Matter?

  1. Understanding the Impact: Peripheral neuropathy affects millions of people worldwide. It is a condition that damages the nerves, leading to symptoms like numbness, tingling, weakness, and pain. By spreading awareness, we ensure that more individuals recognize the signs and seek timely medical attention.
  2. Research Funding: Increased awareness translates into increased research funds. These funds drive scientific investigations, innovative treatments, and potential cures. Our collective efforts during Peripheral Neuropathy Awareness Week contribute directly to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.
  3. Empowering Patients and Caregivers: When we talk about peripheral neuropathy, we empower patients and their loved ones. Knowledge is power, and informed individuals can actively participate in their healthcare decisions. By sharing information, we create a supportive community that uplifts those affected by peripheral neuropathy.

Get Involved

We are grateful that you are part of our peripheral neuropathy support community. Let us stand together during 2024 PN Awareness Week. Whether you are a patient, caregiver, or ally, your involvement matters. Together, we can make a difference—one step, one conversation, and one shared post at a time.

Check out our Awareness Week page on the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy website for information, resources and ideas on how you can get involved during 2024 PN Awareness Week. Please also considering supporting our organization’s awareness week campaign by making a gift – we are aiming to raise $100,000 to increase our research funding.

Remember, awareness leads to action, and action brings us closer to a world where peripheral neuropathy no longer holds people captive. Thank you for being part of this vital movement!
