Clinical Trial for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Northwestern University is conducting a Phase III clinical trial with Viromed Pharmaceuticals for an investigational drug (VM202) on painful, diabetic peripheral neuropathy in the legs and feet. This drug has been shown to be safe and effective at reducing pain caused by neuropathy through the generation of new blood vessels and nerves. The basic inclusion/exclusion criteria are as follows:

  1. ​​Between 18-75 years old
  2. Established history of Type I or II Diabetes Mellitus
  3. Painful, peripheral neuropathy in legs and/or feet caused by DM
  4. No proliferative diabetic retinopathy
  5. No history of cancer within last 5 years
