Weight-bearing versus Non-weight-bearing Exercise for People with Diabetes and Peripheral Neuropathy

Results of a randomized controlled clinical trial are being published to report on the effects of weight-bearing versus non-weight-bearing exercise for people with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Participants were recruited from a university-based physical therapy clinic. A relatively small study group had six-minute walk distance and daily step counts measured for 12 weeks, with the weight-bearing group, showing greater gains than the non-weight-bearing group.  READ MORE
